Mia words

Since the delivery I still have the mommy tummy. Mia has been commenting that "mommy's belly is big". So embarrassing!

Mike broke his wrist playing basketball last Friday night. Mia is aware of the cast and sling. This morning Mike called me on the way delivering Mia to daycare. "Guess what your daughter just told me? " He asked me. I could not guess. "She said: I will give daddy a new hand and I will give mommy a new belly". I flipped out.

Kenzie 2 months

Kenzie is two months old. Before summer is over, I dressed her up for pictures. She's growing so fast, she's already wearing 9 month sleep and plays. 6 month clothes are even too small for her. She's a very talkative baby. She also shows her emotions through a lot of facial expressions. Comparatively she's more alert than Mia when she was two months old.

2 month well check

Kenzie is 13 lbs 2 oz, 24 inches tall. She is at 88% of weight and 97% of height. She is 2.5 oz lighter than Mia when Mia was at her 2 month checkup. She had three shots today and an oral doze of vaccination and developed a fever.

She had a fever for two days. Now it's finally behind us.

Baking

Mia helped with baking today. We made a dozen of lemon blueberry muffins.

Kenzie went to music class

Game Day

Party

Mia went to Evan's party today. Evan has been in her class and is now going to the three year old class. Her mom made an awesome construction site birthday cake for the construction theme party. Mia had a ball with her classmates.

Sleep Training

I can't believe we are doing this again. I checked the blog from last time around. We started sleep training Mia at 7 weeks. The routine goes at 7 pm bath then milk then crib. If baby cries, picks up and soothes and lays down. We do this many times until she falls asleep on her own in the crib.

We started Kenzie today. She's a gassy baby so I couldn't lay her down immediately. Now she is fussing and I'm waiting next to the crib. Lets see how it goes

I picked her up once then 8:35 she fell asleep. Nanny picked her up once at 8:50. I took over. She burped again and spit a little. I lulled her for one minute and put her down at 9. Seems like this time around it will be longer.

Halloween choices

I asked Mia what she wanted to wear on Halloween. She said "kitty cat". Then she said daddy would be the "kitchen". She immediately corrected herself "daddy will be the chicken, no, the CHICKEN." She then proceeded to say "Kenzie will be horse and daddy will be cow". I asked her "what's mommy going to be?" She said "mommy will be cow!"

At the park

We all went to the park today. Kenzie seemed to have enjoyed her outdoor time too. Mia had a ball.

I'm a big big princess

Mia now has preference of clothes when she goes to school. She brought me hair pins and rubber hand this morning and sales me to do her hair. After I did a pony tail, she put on her flower hairband and ran downstairs, yelling " daddy, I'm a big big princess". This is the way princesses are born.

Making Dumplings

For the first time in my life, I'm learning to make dumplings from scratch. Mia came from school and was helping with the rolling pin. She made a few extra thick wrappers. Dinner was successful.

Two & half Year Well Check

Mia went to the doctor's today. She weighs at 31lbs 2oz and is 37 3/4 inches tall. She is such a big girl now.
I have been summoned lately to sleep with her. Today I asked her谁是妈妈的宝宝。she said宝宝还有我。I'm happy that she's using grammar correctly and secondly she's aware of the new addition to our household and is willing to share her love.
