Happy Chinese New Year

The girls dressed up last weekend to go to a local Chinese Spring Festival celebration.

4 year Well Check and Happy Chinese New Year

Today is the first day of Chinese New Year. Mia had her 4th year well check. She is 42 inches tall (90%) and 38 lb 8 oz.(77%). She had last of her shots and did the lead and TB screening for DC school admission. 

We went to celebrate the new year at mt work.

Mia made the Valentine's fish with me this year for school. She wrote everyone's name herself and signed her own name on each card.

18 month Well Check

Kenzie had her well check yesterday. She was over 34 inches tall at 99 percentile and weighed at 76 percentile. She is a big girl now. She is not as verbal as Mia at ten words but a lot more mobile.

I was out in Peru for ten days 9n business trip. The girls were with dad. Mike did so well taking care of them.

Leaving on Business Trip

I am at the airport leaving the states for ten days on business trip. It is the first time since Kenzie's birth I'm leaving both girls for such a long time. In the past I used to love coming to the airport because it means new adventures will begin. Now waiting here for a delayed flight two hours later, I'm bored out of my mind. I see babies and my ears pick up little person's whimpering, I already start to miss the girls. My mentality has changed forever. The carefree me who wouldn't think twice jumping off a cliff for some adrenaline rush is pushed to the back, giving in to a brute force called parental love.

Aquarium

It was a nice warm day today. We went to the aquarium. Kenzie's favorite thing is fish. She had a blast. Mike took Mia to see a 3d film on sea monster at her request. She got too scared. They had to leave. Mia insisted that it was real. 

2014 Xmas Morning

Kenzie's second Xmas. Mia's first words were "did Santa come?" She got a Dr McStuffins medicial checkup center, an Elsa doll, a bike, a fairy outfit which shebinsisted on wearing to grandma's house for xmas day lunch. Kenzie surprisingly got the hang of tearing off wrapping paper and opening the gifts, mature for 16 month old. She was way too excited. Both kids had a second helping of gifts at grandma's house. What a fun day!

Last Ballet Class oof the Season

Today is the last class and parents are allowed to observe the class in the studio. Mia still likes the class so I've signed her up for Spring.

Christmas Light Walk

Our annual xmas walk of lights third year in a row. Kenzie's first one. She was very excited.

I decided to do craft with Mia to accompany the gifts we are giving to the daycare teachers.the initial four has expanded to 8!

2014 Santa Pictures

Today we went to the mall for Santa pictures. Kenzie was howling on Santa's lap just like Mia when she was little.

Shopping with Mommy

Mia and I went to the mall today for four hours. It was a great experience. She can pick out stuff for me now. I can see myself in the future with my two girls. I will have a lot of fun shopping for them and with them.
