We had to go in this morning to check on Mia's dry cough. It's been five days since I started her on the hard boiled egg yolk. We were concerned that the yolk might have lodged in her throat. She's been coughing every day as if she needed to clear her throat. In addition to the cough, her left eye also looked infected again.
The doctor listened to her lungs and checked her ears for signs of infection and did not find anything alarming. She thought it could be a post cold symptom and it would go away on its own. We certainly hope so. She looked like she was out of air sometimes when the coughing fix came.
In the afternoon we took Mia to Germantown to meet up with some friends for lunch. We went to a Japanese restaurant for sushi. Because the place was so crowded, for the first time, she could not sit in the car seat. We placed the seat on the floor and were afraid that people would kick her by accident. Therefore Mike had to hold her the entire meal. She was again a good baby and did not fuss once. I guess all this training of eating out and meeting people is paying off. We could actually enjoy our meal without a fussy baby interrupting us every two seconds.
