First Ginger bread House

Kenzie 16 month well check

Kenzie had her delayed 15 month well check at almost 16 months. She had four shots including a flu shot. She took it well with few tears. 

She's relapsed at school later last week. I hope she adjusts back into it this week.

day2 off to school

Kenzie did well today. No crying. Ate mac and cheese and napped for three hours. She adjusted like a champ. Today was bitter cold. We wrapped the babies well and both saw them off at school.

Going to Daycare

Nanny quit while we were still in China. Kenzie went to daycare this morning despite of a cold and lingering jetlag. I had a meeting this morning so couldn't even send her in. I feel bad of course. I called her teacher and was told that she adjusted well. I am so proud of her. Tomorrow I will drop her off.

Fish Play

> Mia is back home. Kenken stays behind with me in China. We went to the mall today and she had her own fish play time. She even fished up some little turtles.

Day 2 Singapore

Lei

Oct 26 to 29, we took Mia to Singapore. The first day we covered Jurong Bird Park and Sea World. First day was a full day. We went to the Garden by the Bay music show and the infinity pool on top of the Marina Bay Sands afterwards, where we stayed. Second day, we went to Singapore Flyer - world's largest Ferris wheel and national botanic garden.

We did a music class today. Mia is hovering over Kenzie like a mother hen these days and sometimes overbearing for the little one. The moment here is sweet

Pumpkin Festival

Kenzie's First Pumpkin Festival. She even went on a couple big slides!

Motor skills

Kenzie has much better motor skills than Mia. She can already sit straight on a tricycle.

School Tours

Today we toured two private schools as potential candidates for Mia next year. She turns 4 and half by then. We are considering sending her to school before 5 since she is pretty advanced already at 3.5. I keep forgetting she's not even four yet since she's so mature for her age. Both schools are interesting. One is very technology focused but all the kids we met in school are confident, happy and social. The other one is not as "adapted" learning but it goes to 12. I plan to visit one more school and apply to all of them to see which one we will choose later. I can't believe Mia has grown so big and I am at the school hunting stage now.

Mia the ballerina

Mia started her first ballet class today. She liked it very much so I registered her for one year and bought her the standard uniform for class. There is now a little dancer dancing in my heart.

Dutch Wonderland

We went to the amusement park today. There were few rides Kenzie could do but she was a champ. There was thunderstorms so we ended up leaving earlier as lots of outdoor rides were closed. We came back home almost 8 o'clock.

Mia going to work

It was teacher work day yesterday. Daycare was closed. I took Mia to work for the first time. She was excellent. She greeted my coworkers anf stayed quiet on my lap during a 90 minute meeting. She watched cartoons while I went through the meeting. I then took her for fish and chips. She finished her meal. She maxed out by three. Because of labor day we had early release so we got to leave for home early. It was a good experience overall.

A quick stroll at Lake Anne. Kenzie us so sure footed now. She is doing well even in her shoes.
